Registration for Outer Banks Senior Games begins in February each year, and the annual games take place in the spring.

When registration opens, participants may register online under the registration tab or print the paper form from the link posted on the registration webpage. 

Individuals who participate in their local games may qualify for North Carolina Senior Games State Finals, which are held in the fall. Details on qualifying can be found in the North Carolina Senior Games Rules Book for Sports and the Silver Arts Booklet for the Arts. Please contact the Baum Senior Center's office to obtain a copy of these books.

Yes, the Senior Games are open to all residents of North Carolina who are 50 years of age or older.

Many of the games programs at the local level in North Carolina are "open." Games that are "open" accept participants from other areas of the state. 

However, the Outer Banks Senior Games are “closed,” which means participants in our local games must be residents of Dare County or Currituck County in order to participate.

Only individuals who are residents of Dare County or Currituck County in North Carolina for a minimum of three consecutive months of the year may participate in the Outer Banks Senior Games.
