Larceny. 100 block of Broughton Street, Roanoke Island. Victim reported $3,300 of fraudulent transactions on their bank account. The bank is investigating further.

Forgery. 100 block of Broughton Street, Roanoke Island. Checks stolen, forged, and cashed out of state.

April 9, 2026
Burglary. 100 block Inlet Court, Colington. A variety of tools and household items reported stolen from a residence. Under investigation.

Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. 1000 block of Colington Road, Colington. $2,300 stolen as part of a computer virus protection scam.

April 11, 2026
Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. 5000 block of Old Ferry Dock Road, Manns Harbor. Victim reported approx. $13,000 taken from their bank account after they provided scammers their banking information. All part of an online “Popup message” scam. Under investigation.

April 17, 2026
Financial Card Fraud. 200 block of Roanoke Drive, Colington. Unauthorized withdrawal from victim’s bank account. All funds were reimbursed by the bank.

Identity Theft. 1000 block of Burnside Road, Roanoke Island. Subject’s personal information was compromised as part of a YouTube TV tech support scam.

Breaking and Entering. 1000 block Colington Road, Colington. Kayak reported stolen. Under investigation.
