On February 16, 2026, at approximately 1 a.m., Deputies from the Dare County Sheriff’s Office conducted a warrant service in the Roanoke Island area.

Upon arrival at the property, deputies detected the odor of marijuana. A search warrant was obtained, leading to the discovery and seizure of a felony amount of controlled substances.

Isaac S. Moore, M/33, from Manteo, NC, was arrested and charged with:

Felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
Felony Possession of Firearm by Felon
(M) Possession of Marijuana > ½ to 1 ½ oz
(M) Simple Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance

Moore had been issued a $10,000 secured bond in lieu of these charges.

The Manteo Police Department assisted in this investigation.
