Dare County, in partnership with Current TV, has released a new informational video designed to help voters prepare for and participate in the 2026 Primary Election that will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. The goal of the video is to ensure voters have accurate, timely information and feel confident making a plan to cast their ballot in the upcoming Primary Election.

Watch the Video!

Featuring Dare County Elections Systems Specialist Caroline Lindsey, the video provides an overview of key election dates, voting options and important deadlines—with a special emphasis on the convenience and accessibility of early voting, which begins on Thursday, February 12, 2026 and continues through Saturday, February 28, 2026.

The video also outlines the three early voting locations available throughout Dare County: the Dare County Administration Building in Manteo (954 Marshall C. Collins Drive), Kill Devil Hills Town Hall (102 Town Hall Drive) and the Fessenden Center Annex in Buxton (47017 Buxton Back Road).

Additionally, it provides details on absentee-by-mail voting—for which the deadline to request a ballot is Tuesday, February 17, 2026—as well as party affiliation information for unaffiliated voters and Election Day requirements. Please note that the deadline to register to vote in the 2026 Primary Election—and to change your party affiliation or update your address—is 5 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026. This deadline applies to both new and existing voter registrations.

Voters are encouraged to watch the video on Dare County’s YouTube channel by visiting YouTube.com/DareCounty or clicking the button below.
