March to Remember September 11th

On Friday, September 11, 2026, the public is invited to join local first responders for their annual March to Remember September 11th.

Attendees are encouraged to park nearby and walk to the Dare County EMS Station 1 and Kill Devil Hills Fire Department Station 14, located at 1628 N. Croatan Hwy. Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948. Registration will begin onsite at 7 a.m. The march to the Wright Brother Monument will begin promptly at 8:46 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear something to honor those who gave all. The walk from Dare County EMS Station 1 to the Wright Brothers Monument is approximately two miles and 45 minutes each way.
