All Dare County offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. These offices and facilities will reopen and resume operating with their regularly scheduled hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.  

*REMINDER: Dare County Public Works only provides services to the unincorporated areas of Dare County and the Town of Kitty Hawk. If your property is located within the incorporated towns of Duck, Southern Shores, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head or Manteo, please contact your municipality for information regarding any changes to residential and commercial trash collection services.
